John S. Smith
Loving husband of Randy Smith (nee Spuhler), dear father of Melanie (Melvin) Chenot, Aaron (Jennifer) Smith, Tara (Tom) Wentzel, loving gramps of Leah, Samantha, Madison, Morgan, Riley, Jacob, David, Colby, Isaac, Hannah, and Trey. Also survived by two great-granddaughters. Loving son of Lena Smith and the late Isaac S. Smith. Residence New Richmond, Ohio. Age 64. John retired from Procter & Gamble. He had a passion for design and building homes. He was selfless, courageous and strong. He never met a stranger and all were welcome at his dinner table. Visitation Thursday May 24, 2012 at the E.C. Nurre Funeral Home, 177 West Main Street (St. Rt. 125) Amelia, Ohio from 1-3:00 PM, followed by funeral services at 3:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association. Interment Pierce Township Cemetery.
